the church
Many people were involved in the Church in the Middle Ages. Why you might ask? They belived if they worked there, or were involved that they would have a full gateway to heaven. Thats why so many people wanted to work at the church. They wanted to be a cardinal, then a priest, then a bishop and maybe be even the Pope. They saw this as a very simple and easy way to get to heaven.

The crusades
The Crusades took place from 1095-1204. Pope Urban II called the first crusades in the year it began, he wanted power. The Christians wanted to gain back the holy land from the Muslims. In the first crusade they won. But they soon lost it again. In the second crusades the Christians lost, they did not gain back their holy land. In the third crusades it was a tie.
There were many effects because of the crusades. After the crusades, it was the end of Feudalism. All the nobles were gone and the lands were unprotected. There was a trade exploision, they developed new weapons, they found new knowledge and so much more. The pictures are of my meme, a map, and a timeline of the crusades |
