They had some rebellions, revolts and a lot of wars. Image 12- In this picture the woman is knighting the man. For this to happen, you had to go through some steps. At first you were a page. A page serves and does easy tasks. Next you would become a squire. The squires would start to train for battle. Then you would become a Accolade, then a knight. Image 13- This is a photo of Charlemagne. He is one of the most famous kings of medieval Europe. He was the king of the Franks. He was also known as Charles the Great. Image 14- What this tapestry tells us about this time period is that there navy was good. They used boats a lot. Image 15- This is a photo of chousting, one of the medieval entertainment. One of the Rome entertainments was fighting to the death in an arena, I think these are a little similar. Image 16- This is a photo of the Hundreds Years' War. Fighting in the battle was the English and The French. The French had the help of Joan of Arch. Image 17- One thing that protected the castle from invaders was the moat. It was hard to get to the castle with water surrounding it. Another thing that protected the castle was the knights. The knights could attack invaders or shoot from above. Another thing that protected the castle was the bridge. The bridge closes so they have no way of getting in. |
